Feast of the Holy Name of Mary
The Roman Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Name of Mary, on September 12th in honor to the name of Mary, the mother of Jesus.
This feast day has been celebrated since 1684 when Pope Innocent XI officially included it in General Roman calendar, but actually dates back to 1513 as local celebrations were held in Spain.
The entry in the Roman Martyrology about the feast speaks of it in the following terms,
“The Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a day on which the inexpressible love of the Mother of God for her Holy Child is recalled, and the eyes of the faithful are directed to the figure of the Mother of the Redeemer, for them to invoke with devotion”.
Praise n thank God ! Will be happy to receive my Mama Mary’s messages as I share with like minded people. I wish I could get some images too, but the saddest part is that I am a retired teacher n financially down as m the sole bread earner in my family. My twin daughters are married n a younger one is left. I’ve been a single parent as he was into vulgar things misused properties n passed away 11 yrs back leaving us with nothing n we’ve to fight court cases to regain few properties left. Also m not too healthy with IBS Hypothyroid constant loose motions so need to buy some medicines. Do pray for me n my daughters to come closer to God. Thank you n God bless you all
