Experienced Exorcist Tells All: What is the Most Frightening thing He has ever Witnessed!

In the recent interview Exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger revealed the two times he has been scared in his ministry as an exorcist.  The first time he was scared was when he first started out as an exorcist and experienced working with possession for the first time.  The second time he says he was frightened was when he was dealing with a particularly difficult demonic spirit.  It may surprise you what frightened him.  Personally I think that being an exorcist would be extremely frightening, however, Fr. Chad Ripperger witnesses that the Church trains exorcists very well and has much experience in dealing with evil spirits.  He states that as an exorcist, if you follow the guidelines of the Church and “stay within your lane” that Priests actually have a great deal of authority over these spirits.  So what was it that scared Fr. Ripperger.  Father Ripeerger relates that one time he was dealing with a very difficult spirit and asked through prayer that God the Father would “punish him in a way that he has never been punished before.”  What followed was a “full blown praeternatural manifestation”.  However, it wasn’t the screaming of the demon that scared him as such or the demon itself, but rather the “severity of God’s punishment” for those who disobey God and reject His authority.  This gave Father a glimpse at what Hell looks like and it was the most frightening thing he has ever experienced.
